For some time now we have been on the lookout for grey genetics to complement those acquired though our early investments in Nyetimber progeny. We spotted Greyson at the 2019 BAS National where he took the Reserve Champion ribbon in the 12-24 month category. He sports the fineness of fleece and colour uniformity we aim for at Cold Comfort, but what struck us was the the almost complete absence of dark primary fibres so often associated with greys. As we delved deeper into his genetic package we took the opportunity to bring on board the coveted traits of Patou Wasimba, Greyson’s sire. Greyson will be glad to hear that we also acquired 2 lovely breeding females in Meon Valley Charm and Barnacre Aphrodite, both award-winning girls looking forward to entering our breeding programme. Greyson had his first progeny in 2021.
